Places to visit in the local area
There are many beautiful places to visit within a short distance from the Underley Estate.
With Ingleton - The Gateway to The Dales - only 10 minutes away, there is a host of activities available. From walking the Three Peaks, cycling the Tour of Britain route, to caving and pot holing, the outdoors it at your beck and call.
The River Lune winds its way through the Lune Valley. Renowned for it's sea trout run, there are also numerous salmon and brown trout in the river. If fishing is not your thing, then perhaps kayaking, or just a gentle amble along the banks.
The small, historical market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is right on the doorstep. With all the usual local amenities it also features an excellent butcher, bakery, high end boutique shops and even an old fashioned sweet shop. There are also a number of very good pubs and restaurants.
Needing no introduction, The Lake District has a vast range of activities to be explored. A boat ride on Lake Windermere, scaling Scar Fell Pike, climbing, cycling, or simply a special meal in one of the fabulous restaurants in the area. The possibilities are endless.
